How did God make His call on Ruth Angrisani's life?
It all started when I was born and my grandmother was praying for my little life as both my mother and myself struggled to stay alive, as I was in her womb. It was at that time that God put his hand on my life.
I grew up on the central coast in San Luis Obispo, with my mother and stepfather and seven siblings, myself being the youngest. Growing up I accepted the Lord in my heart when I was 6 years old; at that time I attended church with my grandmother. My immediate family did not attend church. So it was my grandmother's influence that brought me to Christ. I began music when I was 8 years old and played the flute, guitar and sang in choirs and worship bands. I have been involved in music throughout my life. It was when I was 15 years old that the Lord called me, I was sitting in a bible study and thought I knew then I wanted to know more of Him. I wanted to know the truth! Not just book knowledge, but spiritual wisdom that only comes from the word of God! But, yes there is a but, when I was 18 years old, my life got sidetracked, I got into things that threw my life off balance. At this point in my life I began working for an airline and traveled. It wasn't until I was 26 years old that I went back to His calling and then met a Christian named Robert and got married.
In 1992, both my husband and I came to Riverside Wesleyan Church and I began singing on the worship team. In 1998, I began working as the church secretary. My pastor who hired me asked me if I ever considered going into the ministry fulltime. I remembered back, when God called me, but still wasn't ready. I knew I still wanted to know more about God and have a deeper walk with Him. But the timing just wasn't right to go back to school. I was expecting our fourth child and couldn't possibly put one more thing on my plate. It wasn't until my pastor asked me to be the Worship Leader in 2002 for RWC. It was then I accepted God's call to go fulltime in the ministry. I accepted the position and went on faith God would carry me through. Three years of being the worship leader and four children later, I am now in the process of fulfilling the original call on my life and getting my ministerial license! With the help of my husband and my children I know God will continue to open the doors that it takes to continue the call to that Higher Place!
God is so good and faithful! Deuteronomy 10:12 is one of my favorite scriptures it gives you the exact recipe for your life! Read it and be blessed.

and now, O Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you, but to fear
the Lord you God, to walk in all His ways, to love him, to serve the Lord
your God with all our heart and walk in all His ways, to love him, to serve
the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
